Our science curriculum is based on the requirements of the new National Curriculum 2014.  In Key Stage One we have a three year rolling programme of activities and in Key Stage Two we have a four year rolling programme.
The teachers plan for a wide range of teaching and learning activities to take place so that the children build up a better understanding of the world in which they live and how it works.  We encourage the children to be curious and to ask questions.  Science is taught by the class teacher.
It is important to us that the children experience a range of resources to stimulate learning.  These resources include scientific apparatus (for example batteries, wires, buzzers), everyday materials, our school grounds and local environment, web based materials and books.
